In Indonesia, Melbourne renowned illustrator, Jeremy Ley is harassed by school girls for his rock-star good looks. Here in The Common Room, he harasses us for constant attention. Sometimes it’s practical jokes, other times it’s a random break-dancing maneuver he learned from the streets of the internet. Whatever “it” is, you know he’s put his whole heart into his offering, which is why you can rest assured that his first app will be no different.

Focusing on a simple concept aimed at youngsters, Jeremy’s first app is titled “My Friend The Bear”. The first of a series of “My Friend…” ebooks, the app is a well executed and intuitive interactive children’s ebook, filled with bright colours, cute characters and a fun voice over.

The continuation of the “My Friend” series will depend on the initial response to “My Friend The Bear”. So all you app geeks who have spawned bubba geeks (or just interested non-bubba spawners), download away and show your support. It’s only 99c at the app store.

The Common Room is finally full. Our studio is filled with smiling faces, rainbows and lollipops.

Four of us started The Common Room at the end of last year. We now have a happy family of 9, consisting of designers, illustrators, animators and marketers. We even have a dad.

So, here it is. The new Light site… Finally.

It’s been freakin tough as a web designer to find motivated time to work on my own site. But I had some great help from a blonde genius who goes by the name of Jarome Harmsworth. So if you’re anything like me and you find it hard to make time for your own work… A wise man once said; “Stop, collaborate and listen.” He then proceeded to influence my hairstyles in ways that my friends and family will never let me forget.
