Creating the story
Newcastle University needed a narrative that engaged a secondary school audience, explaining engineering and making it an appealing career path. We drew up a storyline that was as eye-catching as it was educational, utilising innovative animation techniques.
Art direction and prop creation were key to the look and feel of the video. We completed filming in just two days, successfully merging animated and live-action elements to create a memorable point of difference for the viewer.
Editing accommodated for both real-time illustration and live-action elements, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted visual product. Considered sound design brought the visuals to life and produced a shareable video with 332,000 views and counting.
